Location & Parking
The B Street Ship Terminal is conveniently located in the very heart of the thriving downtown area.
If you can't get someone else to drop you at the pier, and pick you up when you return, there's a parking lot across from the terminal. Parking, long term and daily, is available at the lane field facility located on Broadway between Pacific Highway and North Harbor Drive. To save a few dollars a day, park in one of the long-term lots that serves Lindbergh Field commuters. Long-term parking is also available at Park & Ride lots near the Terminal. They service both the Cruise Ship Terminal and the Airport. Rates vary per day and may include secured, covered parking. Shuttle service is available at no charge. Those shuttles drop customers at the airport as well as the pier terminal.
New Improvements for 2007 and beyond
The B Street terminal and support areas will be undergoing additions, remodeling and upgrades in the next few years. As the local ship business continues to boom, accommodating increasing numbers of ships and and processing their passengers continues to be a challenge. The long-promised, much-debated new terminal probably won't happen before 2010. However, in the meantime, a temporary tent structure on the B Street Pier is helping with processing passengers and their luggage.
